Hi, I'm Micah Beach, a 23-year-old filmmaker who recently graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor's degree in film. Movies have always been a big part of my life, but it wasn't until I got into photography in high school where that creative spark for making beautiful images took off. Photography soon translated into filmmaking as I began making shorts on social media, which led to student films and other creative work. My favorite aspect of filmmaking is cinematography. I love the flow of operating the camera as well as working with lights to make an image visually stand out. While my work has transitioned fully into video, I still keep that photographer mindset, striving for a beautiful composition in every frame I get.
